CodeTrendy Web App Overview

CodeTrendy is a curated discovery directory for newly launched startups, SaaS tools and indie products. It is built for two groups of people: founders who have just shipped something and need it to be seen, and visitors who want a short, trustworthy list of new products instead of an endless feed.

What it does

Founders submit their website through a simple form. Every submission is screened by hand before it goes live, so the directory only shows products that actually work and are useful. Approved products get their own permanent listing page with a name, a short description, the category, and a link back to the product. Listings are organized by category, so a visitor who is looking for, say, a developer tool or a marketing tool can browse just that part of the directory.

Who it is for

CodeTrendy is aimed at indie makers, solo founders and small teams who do not have a big launch budget. A launch day on a large platform is over in 24 hours; a listing page on CodeTrendy stays online, keeps being found in search and keeps sending curious visitors to the product. For visitors, the value is the screening: every product in the list has been looked at by a person, not scraped from somewhere else.

How listing works

There is a free listing, which joins the normal review queue. There is also an optional paid upgrade for founders who want their listing to go live faster. The review standard is the same for both: the product has to be real, live and clearly described.

Why we built it

New products from small teams are hard to find. Big launch sites reward whoever has the largest audience on the day, and many directories accept anything without looking at it. CodeTrendy tries to sit in between: open to every builder, but with a person checking each listing so the directory stays worth browsing.
