War of Words Web App Overview

War of Words is a word puzzle game with turn-based fantasy battles, made by GottaPlay for Android. You connect letters to form words, charge your equipment and decide when to attack, shield or heal. Finding a word is part of the task. Choosing which ability to charge and when to use it matters too.

The campaign has 24 encounters across six realms. Equipment unlocks let you shape a loadout and try a different approach to the next opponent. Letter colors charge different abilities, so the words you choose affect the tools available during a battle. You can combine attacks, defenses and healing rather than relying on one move throughout the campaign.

There are three ways to play. Campaign is the sequence of fantasy encounters. Endless Words asks you to survive waves of enemies and push your score further, with a boss every fifth wave. Daily Challenge offers offline practice and an online ranked challenge for players aged 13 and older. The daily format gives returning players another reason to test their word finding and battle decisions.

The word dictionaries support English, Serbian, German, French, Spanish and Italian. The interface language and the word language can be set separately. You can use the adjacent-letter linking rule or choose the alternative linking rule. These options let you adjust how you build words without changing the basic idea of turning letters into battle abilities.

Campaign and offline practice work without an internet connection. Progress is saved on the device. Online rankings need an internet connection. Players under 13 have local records and offline practice, without online rankings, advertising or continues after a defeat.

For players aged 13 and older, optional rewarded ads can provide up to three continues during an Endless run. A continue requires a completed ad and a confirmed reward, and ad availability can vary. The game has no in-app purchases. You can download it from Google Play and start with the campaign, then try the other modes when you want another kind of challenge.

War of Words is for players who like finding words but also want decisions about equipment, healing and the next battle. It brings a word board and a fantasy encounter together in the same game. AI-assisted assets and code were used in development. Nothing in the game requires a cryptocurrency wallet, token purchase or real-money wagering.
