About NOS Workspace

Learn more about this application's features and capabilities.

I’m building NOS Workspace for people who prepare reports, presentations and other materials as HTML. It keeps written documents and HTML pages together in one workspace. You can bring an existing page into NOS, correct the wording in the preview and share a reading link with the people who need it.

Start by pasting HTML or opening a .html file. The page appears in a preview, where you can click text and change a heading, date or sentence. For example, you can correct the title of a quarterly report or replace a sentence in a presentation. You edit the words on the page rather than reopening the HTML source just to change that wording.

The editor is available to try before you create an account. Pasting a page, editing its text and previewing the result do not require signup. Saving the page to your workspace and creating a sharing link do require you to sign in. This is different from the person receiving the link: someone opening a public reading link can read without a NOS account.

After you share a page, you can return to NOS and save another correction. The reading link stays the same. When a reader reopens it, they see the version you saved, so you do not need to send a replacement file each time you change the title or correct a sentence. This gives a shared HTML report a place to return to while its wording is still being updated.

Written documents sit alongside HTML pages. You can keep the written explanation and the corresponding HTML presentation or report in the same workspace, rather than treating each page as a separate upload. Folders help organise the material, and full-text search includes the text inside HTML pages as well as written documents. A saved report can therefore be found again by its content.

The free plan includes documents, HTML pages and sub-pages, version history, and up to three active sharing links. Public readers do not need an account. The Personal plan adds unlimited sharing links and removes the NOS badge. Team features include inviting members into one workspace, editing a document together and assigning editor or read-only roles.

To see the main interaction, try an HTML report with a heading or sentence you want to change. Paste or open it, click that text in the preview and make the correction. If you want to keep it and send it to someone, sign in, save and create a reading link. NOS is a workspace for keeping those documents and HTML pages together after they have been made.
